Service Description

The ChildGuard® 7 Hair Follicle Test is a specialized drug screening designed to detect passive or environmental exposure to drugs in children. Unlike standard hair tests that indicate personal use, ChildGuard analyzes the outer layers of the hair shaft to identify drugs or drug metabolites that may have been transferred through secondhand exposure, contact with contaminated surfaces, or environmental presence. The 7-panel version typically screens for major drug classes such as amphetamines, cocaine, opiates, PCP, marijuana, methamphetamine, and benzodiazepines, providing valuable evidence in child welfare, custody, and DCS investigations.
